it just hadn’t been possible because of circumstances outside of my control. Infomericas didn’t just make it possible for me to finally visit Cuba this year, during such a time of new developments and expectations for Cuba. My trip to Cuba organized by InfoAmericas August 31st to September 7th 2015 was a tremendous learning experience. Meeting with a wide range of representatives from civil society in the fields of education, economics, religion
, agriculture, art, and culture helped paint a positive and encouraging panorama of the advances in Cuba and hopes for a closer relationship with the U.S. The delegation traveled under the program “People to People” and also had the chance to visit emblematic sites in Cuba and meet with everyday people. This trip sparked a desire to return to Cuba as soon as I got back.
